For first time ever, majority of shareholders push oil giant Chevron to align with Paris climate pact

Climate Action 100+ investor alliance gains proxy-season traction toward net-zero emissions, calling on companies to account for climate risks and more transparent lobbying, says New York City comptroller.

Notably, a 53% majority of shareholders at Chevron Corp. voted for a resolution seeking a commitment from the oil giant to align its climate-policy lobbying activities with the goal of the Paris Agreement.
